About the Author

Caroline DeHarde Bennett, M.S. is a Nutrition Consultant.  In her practice, ‘Care for Your Health,’ she strives to teach clients how to improve the quality of their lives.  She is a Professional Member of NANP, National Association of Nutrition Professionals.

When patients ask their oncologists, "May I use Essiac Tea to help myself recover from cancer?" My mission is to provide patients and caregivers with the relevant facts to aid in this very important treatment decision.

Ms. Bennett has a special interest in cancer nutrition therapy.  In her quest for immune supportive therapies and also to meet the special nutritional needs and physical challenges associated with surgery, radiation, and chemo, she began her research on Essiac.

During her investigation, Ms. Bennett discovered some very encouraging results.   Tumor inhibition and remission were present in Essiac therapy case histories.  Futhermore, Essiac has been studied retrospectively on 583 patients in China.  Results in the Chinese study support the huge anecdotal evidence already amassed.  In China, Essiac is classified as a medicine for Class-A (life-threatening) disease.

Leading cancer centers are taking a comprehensive approach to treatment.  Supportive therapies now include nutrition.  Ms. Bennett’s goal is to illuminate the research and hundreds of case results that have been done on Essiac.  Her hope is that the encouraging results documented in this book will stimulate further research so that a higher level of evidence will be available to physicians.  And further by highlighting the myriad of real life patient results, Ms. Bennett's hope is that this will provide needed information to patients and their physicians now, such as the safety, history, and the current use of this herbal agent as a supportive therapy by physicians worldwide.
